Full-Time Norland Nanny (Live-In or Live-Out)

  • Live-out: 9:00am – 6:00pm or 9:00am – 7:00pm
  • Live-in: 7:00am – 7:00pm

  • One boy aged 2½ years
  • Newborn expected in November

This is a shared-care position, working alongside a hands-on mother. The successful candidate will support the family’s daily routine while taking initiative and providing high-quality childcare.

The Role

The family are seeking an experienced, warm, and professional nanny to provide exceptional care and support for their growing family. A Norland-trained nanny is preferred, although applications from highly experienced career nannies with comparable backgrounds are welcomed.

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, energetic, and confident caring for both toddlers and newborns. They should enjoy planning engaging activities that encourage learning and development while maintaining a calm, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for both children.
  • Supporting the toddler’s learning and development through creative, educational, and outdoor activities.
  • Assisting with the care of the newborn following their arrival.
  • Working collaboratively with the mother in a shared-care arrangement.
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Maintaining children’s routines, including naps, meals, and developmental activities.
  • Nursery duties, including:
    • Children’s laundry.
    • Keeping bedrooms, play areas, and toys clean and organised.
    • Maintaining children’s equipment and supplies.
  • Accompanying the family on outings and activities where appropriate.
  • Driving the children safely to classes, appointments, and activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Norland qualification preferred; outstanding career nannies will also be considered.
  • Previous experience caring for toddlers and newborns.
  • Professional, discreet, and highly organised.
  • Warm, caring, and engaging with children.
  • Confident working in a shared-care environment.
  • Full, clean driving licence essential.
  • Comfortable driving the family vehicle.
  • Excellent references.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification preferred.

The family can offer excellent live-in accommodation, including:

  • Private bedroom with double bed.
  • Desk/workspace.
  • Air conditioning.
  • Dedicated bathroom.
  • Micro kitchen.
  • Access to the family’s gym, living room, and other household facilities.

  • Family car provided for work-related driving.

Salary
