About the Family

A warm and busy family based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is looking for an experienced, reliable and caring Live-In Nanny to support their three children:

Twins – a 10-year-old boy and girl

Boy – aged 15

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a family and is confident supporting school-aged children and teenagers.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide practical childcare support, helping the children stay organised and ensuring the family’s day-to-day routines run smoothly.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

School runs and general driving for the children

Helping the twins get ready and organised for school each morning

Supporting the children with their day-to-day needs

General family errands

Taking the children to activities, appointments and social engagements as required

Laundry for the children

Keeping children’s areas organised and tidy

Some weekend support when required

The family already employs a housekeeper, so this is very much a childcare and family support role rather than a housekeeping position.

 

Candidate Requirements

Previous nanny childcare experience

A genuine, caring and engaging approach with children

Full UK driving licence – essential

Confident and safe driver

Organised, proactive and reliable

Happy supporting children of different ages, from 10 through to 15

Flexible and willing to provide occasional weekend support

Professional, discreet and trustworthy

Excellent references

Working Hours

The main working pattern is Monday to Friday, with some weekend support required from time to time.

 

Exact hours can be discussed depending on the successful candidate and the family’s needs.

 

Accommodation

This is a live-in position, with the successful candidate provided with their own separate private annexe, offering a comfortable degree of privacy and independence.
