Part-Time Nanny – Job Specification

Location: Canary Wharf
Start Date: January 2027
Schedule: 2 days per week (ideally Monday and Friday, but flexible)
Hours: 8:00am – 6:30pm
Salary: £22 per hour
Driver: Not required

Children:

• Girl, 3 years old (attends nursery full time)
• Girl, 6 months old

Overview:
A warm and welcoming family based in Canary Wharf is seeking a caring and experienced part-time nanny to support primarily with the care of their youngest child (6 months old). The eldest child attends nursery full time, so the role will focus mainly on baby care, with occasional support for the older sibling if nursery is closed or she is at home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sole care of the 6-month-old baby during working hours
• Supporting the older child when she is home from nursery (e.g., nursery closures or sick days)
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Children’s laundry
• Organising and maintaining the children’s bedrooms, toys, and play areas
• Planning age-appropriate activities and supporting development
• Maintaining a tidy environment related to the children

Requirements:

• Previous nanny or childcare experience, particularly with babies
• Warm, reliable and organised
• Confident caring for young children and managing their routines
• Driver not required

This is a long-term, part-time role for a nanny seeking two full days per week with a family based in Canary Wharf.
