Part-Time Nanny – Job Specification

Location: Caversham Heights (Near Reading, Berkshire)
Start Date: January 2027
Schedule: 3 full days per week (flexible on days)
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00/6:00pm
Salary: £ Dependent on experience
Driver: Preferred
Child: One Little girl, turning 1 year old in January

Overview:
A warm and welcoming family based in Caversham Heights are seeking a caring, committed and experienced nanny to become part of the family on a long-term basis. Mum is Spanish, so a Spanish-speaking nanny would be hugely advantageous, although this is by no means essential.

The family are looking for someone approachable, nurturing and proactive who genuinely enjoys working with young children and supporting their development. They would like their daughter to attend local classes and groups to build a local social network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sole care of one-year-old girl
• Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Taking her to local groups, classes and social activities
• Supporting development through play and routine
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Keeping play areas, toys and child-related spaces organised and tidy
• Maintaining a warm, happy and stimulating environment

Requirements:

• Previous nanny or childcare experience with toddlers
• Warm, reliable and committed personality
• Someone who will become part of the family long term
• Spanish-speaking highly advantageous but not essential
• Driver preferred
