Summer Temporary Housekeeper – Muswell Hill

A busy and dynamic family in Muswell Hill is looking for an experienced temporary housekeeper to join their household for the summer period. This role requires someone who is highly organised, proactive, and flexible, with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.

The housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the home is clean, tidy, and running smoothly, while also assisting with light cooking, household management, and occasional family-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large household with children and be confident managing multiple responsibilities with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Home Maintenance:

High-standard cleaning throughout the property, including deep cleaning, daily tidying, and maintaining an organised household

Laundry and ironing, including the care of delicate fabrics and wardrobe management

Ensuring fine furnishings, antiques, and special surfaces are properly maintained

Keeping the home guest-ready at all times

Cooking & Household Support:

Light cooking to assist the family as needed
Organising kitchen spaces and maintaining cleanliness
Assisting with family events and gatherings

Household Management & Errands:

Packing/unpacking for family and assisting with luggage organisation

Running household errands, such as shopping and dry cleaning collection

Coordinating with wider household staff and tradespeople

Monitoring household repairs with family staff

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 6 years’ experience as a housekeeper in a large private household

Previous experience in a household with children

A flexible, positive, and can-do attitude

Strong ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high housekeeping standards

Conversational English for clear communication with the family and team

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Excellent checkable references

Valid UK working permit
