Temp-to-Perm Nanny – Job Specification

Location: Cookham
Start Date: July 2026 (family can wait until mid-August for the right candidate)
Role Type: Temporary to Permanent
Permanent Full Time Role Commencing: January 2027
Hours: Approximately 28–30 hours per week
Schedule Options:

• 3 full days per week, or
• 4 half days per week

Driver: Essential

Child:

• Baby boy, aged approximately 3–4 months at start of role

Overview:
A warm and welcoming family based in Cookham is seeking a caring, reliable and experienced nanny to support with the care of their baby boy in a temp-to-perm position. The role will begin on a temporary basis from summer 2026, transitioning into a permanent full-time role from January 2027 for the right candidate. This can however be temporary until December 2026.

Mum will be working both from home and office-based during the week. The family is looking for a nanny who is confident working sole charge, whilst also being comfortable with Mum occasionally popping in during breaks when working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sole care of baby boy during working hours
• Supporting feeding, naps and developmental routines
• Planning age-appropriate activities and outings
• Taking the baby out for walks, groups and social activities
• Preparing bottles/meals as appropriate for age
• Keeping nursery and baby areas organised and tidy
• Child-related laundry and general nursery duties

Requirements:

• Previous nanny or childcare experience with babies essential
• Warm, proactive and reliable personality
• Confident working both independently and alongside parents
• Driver essential
• Looking for someone committed to a long-term role with the family
