• Temporary Nanny – Half-Term

  Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm each day
  Children: Two boys, aged 5 and 4
  Pets: One friendly, medium-sized dog
  Parents: Both working from home

Salary £24 per hour

• We are looking for a warm, energetic and experienced temporary nanny to help care for two boys, aged 5 and 4, for three days during the October half-term. Both parents will be working from home during the day, so the main focus of the role will be keeping the boys happy, engaged and entertained, allowing Mum and Dad to concentrate on work. The eldest boy has ADHD and mild ASD, so we are particularly looking for someone who is patient, calm and confident supporting a neurodivergent child. Previous experience with ADHD and/or ASD would be highly desirable but not essential.
• The role will include:
• Planning and enjoying age-appropriate games, crafts and creative activities
• Playing with the boys both indoors and outdoors
• Taking them outside for walks, trips to the park or other suitable local activities
• Preparing simple snacks and drinks for the children
• Helping to maintain a relaxed and positive routine throughout the day
• Managing the usual dynamics of two young siblings with patience and good humour
• Tidying up after activities and meals involving the children
• There is also a medium-sized dog in the family home, so the nanny will need to be comfortable around dogs. No specific pet care is required.
• We are looking for someone who is:
• Warm, kind and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children
• Energetic, creative and happy to get involved in play
• Patient and confident managing different behaviours and emotions
• Experienced with children of a similar age
• Experienced with children of a similar age
• Ideally experienced with ADHD and/or ASD
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a home where both parents are present and working
• DBS checked with suitable childcare references

This is a short-term role for three full days and would suit an experienced nanny, teaching assistant, nursery practitioner or other childcare professional looking for temporary half-term work.
